Hair wrap

Hair Wrap

1. Section off a piece of hair the size of a pencil. Best place is probably at the edge of the hair line since then you can pull your hair into ponytail and see the wrap.
2. Pull the rest of the hair away from the section piece using a rubber band or you can use a circle of paper with a hole for braid and a slit.
3. Braid the hair and secure with elastic
4. Take thread approximately 4 times the size of the hair section. I took 5 pieces
5. Split the thread in half and pull the thred through the hole at the top of the braid (do not knot string)
6. Take two threads of the same color and wrap around the braid ( I did not do this. I did one thread at at a time)
7. Switch approximately every inch/cm make a double knot when you are done using string
8. Can use beads to end the wrap. Put fishing string around the yarn. Fold the fishing string in half. Thread the bead onto the two ends of the string. pull the fishing string and pull the yarn with it. The bead will be on yarn. Remove string. Bead should be on yarn
9. Tie the strings all in one knot afetr bead or you can tie each one separately
10. To do twist do #4 like the fishermans' bracelet. You can also do variations by leaving two strings of the same color out and then twisting them over the main wrap or leaving 2 strings of different color out and going around the main wrap.
11. You can leave a piece of hair at the end or you can go over it and continue wrapping past the hair.

12. To redo hair wrap take a circle paper with slit, pull the hair wrap through it and pin the paper to head with bobby pins. Then undo the hair wrap. This way you will just have the hair you used for the wrap and no extra hair.
